05 Mar Global Auction returns with a fantastic array of Money Can’t Buy Prizes
The Suffolk-based global Ultimate Charity Auction is due to return having been postponed last year, following the devastating Leicester City helicopter crash. Now in its eighth year, the auction launches on Thursday 21stMarch 2019, having already raised an outstanding £1,018,000.
The auction was designed to capture the imagination of its bidders, offering an extensive portfolio of money can’t buy prizes and experiences from the worlds of sport and celebrity, all of whom have been so very generous.
Funds raised from the auction will again benefit GeeWizz Charity, who support children and young adults with life threatening conditions, a disability or cancer in Suffolk and Norfolk, and the League Managers Association Charity: In the Game, who provide help for those in football living with mental health conditions, dementia or other degenerative diseases.
This year, the auction will be specifically supporting Emily, a 22-month old little girl from Lowestoft, Suffolk. Sadly, Emily is very poorly and suffers from a range of complex health conditions meaning that she is now classed as terminally ill.
Emily, who is also blind, has developed a love for Disney songs. Her family have taken out credit cards to pay for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland, as they are not sure how long they have left with her. Funds from the auction will cover the costs of this trip for Emily and her family, giving them the opportunity to make memories of a lifetime.
With a portfolio of prizes extending from a VIP Tour of the brand-new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a club legend, to Lunch and a Live Show Experience with Jeremy Kyle himself, plus a whole range of VIP sport, lifestyle and celebrity prizes, there really is something for everyone.
Gina says, “We are on course for another fantastic auction, raising thousands of pounds for some very worthwhile causes. I would like to urge people to spread the world, as money raised from the auction will really make a difference to the families we support.”
Other prizes include a VIP experience with FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou stadium, a luxurious two night stay at Suffolk hotspot The Windmill, the opportunity to be guests of Ant and Dec at Britain’s Got Talent Live Semi-Final and support from the likes of Ipswich Town FC, Newmarket Racecourses and Manchester United FC.
